WINGWAVE IN PROGRESS

Wingwave is a coaching method that reduces  stress fast and effective. It increases creativity and stability. Wingwave takes away emotional and physical barriers by alternately stimulating of the both hemispheres of the brain.This is what also happens during the REM-phase (Rapid Eye Movement) when we have a good night sleep, in which emotional processing takes place.  

Wingwave is effective in many areas: in professional organizations as well as artists, top athletes, midwifes, dentists and students. 

Wingwave works in all areas where a cliënt experiences stress, whatever the reason. Stress is the level of tension when an individual can no longer react effectively. Although that is personal and subjective, we can check that quite clearly in every situation. The illustration below shows the different levels of tension we use.


Stress makes us fall back in survival behavior and reflexes of fight, flight or freeze. Even when our life is not really at stake. Look at the illustration with the lion.

This behavior also makes that we no longer can use our full potential of thinking, feeling and acting because our brain simply turns these off when in survival mode. Thus we cannot think clearly, are less creative and our speech can get blocked. Wingwave can take the stress or overload of tension away and therefor gives way to use all the potential available. 
Wingwave uses two types of interventions:

  • Induce the REM-phase until the cliënt no longer experiences stress on the coaching theme at hand. We induce the REM phase by waving before the clients eyes while the client follows the fingers of the coach.
  • A muscle test to detect individual sources of stress and to check the results of waving. The muscle test is based on the fact that stress reduces the tension of the muscles. The muscle test helps to find sources of stress quickly and without much talking. 

 

Wingwave is used in the German speaking countries for over 20 years and is meanwhile introduced in other languages and countries. In Germany there has been lots of scientific research on Wingwave. Wingwave is also certified by TÜV and ISO.

My experience with Wingwave

 

I like to use Wingwave in coaching because without too much talking, it helps to locate sources of stress. It works fast and is very effective in reducing emotional or other stress. We used this for themes like fear of flying or speaking in public. Also to remove negative associations with certain people or events. Or help children with fear of failing or exams. Or remove creative blocks. Wingwave also helps when people have to achieve at their best level and need all their resources.
